Yesterday I cleaned my place from top to bottom. Like most people after your home is clean. You want to continue that fresh smell throughout the entire day. I burn a lot of candles but decided to try the DIY Williams Sonoma /Pottery Barn scent. If you follow me on instagram @simplynitablog you saw my insta story where I boiled lemon, water, rosemary and vanilla extract. I got so many comments and decided to make a post about it. It’s super easy to do and I believe you will enjoy it. What you will need is below.
- 1 sliced lemon
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2 cups of water
- A few sprigs of rosemary
Add everything in the pot and slowly simmer through the day. Be careful that there is enough water in the pot at all times.
Depending on the size of your home you may need to alter the amount of ingredients. I’m still trying to get mine just right to where it’s strong enough. I will double the ingredients next time for sure. I prefer the scent to be on the strong side.
Let me know if you decide to try this. If you already have let me know as well. Fresh lavender is an awesome scent to try as well.
What are your favorite scents?
